Nicole M. Welsh

Nicole Welsh came to the law after a first career in public service. She worked in law enforcement with the City of Cleveland before attending Cleveland-Marshall College of Law’s part-time evening program — a path her lieutenant encouraged.

Admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2007, she spent more than eight years running her own practice focused on guardian ad litem and CASA work for children across four counties, along with public-service legal work for local governments. She has served as Assistant Law Director and Prosecuting Attorney for multiple municipalities and continues as Solicitor for a small Carroll County municipality.

At Kennedy & Collins, she handles estate planning, probate, guardianships, adoptions, and bankruptcy matters.

Beyond the office
Nicole and her husband Joseph have been married more than twenty years and have two children. She plays, officiates, and coaches volleyball with Ignite Volleyball Club in Twinsburg, volunteers as a Girl Scout trainer and zipline facilitator, and spends family time camping, hiking, and stargazing.
